Gentle Exercise for Your Health and Well-Being with Yoga and Tai Chi

Both Yoga and Tai Chi will improve your overall well-being. The body will gain strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance. The mind will gain increased mental capacity, concentration and stress reduction. Benefits include: deeper breathing, reduction in bone loss, help with arthritic pain, reduction in blood pressure, mind/body integration, and increase in endorphins. Tai Chi is a low-impact, slow motion exercise most recognized as a series of silent, fluid movements. Yoga is a series of postures with a deep awareness of alignment and precise actions in the body.

Classes are conducted from and with a chair (no floor work), involving both standing and sitting based on individual need. Joint health is emphasized in both.

Yoga and Tai Chi for Your Joints!

Saturday Sept 21st,  10:30am – 11:30am

The body is supposed to move, our joints allow for that movement. Movement eases joint stiffness, reduces joint pain, strengthens the muscles which surround the joints.  This class will offer a holistic approach to joints using gentle movements from Tai Chi and Yoga.  Guided imagery will focus on the deeper connection of what each joint represents and how important joint health is to the flow of energy.  This is a chair class with some standing. and tranquility in the sanctuary of your heart!

More dates coming!
