Gentle Exercise for Your Health and Well-Being with Yoga and Tai Chi

Both Yoga and Tai Chi will improve your overall well-being. The body will gain strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance. The mind will gain increased mental capacity, concentration and stress reduction. Benefits include: deeper breathing, reduction in bone loss, help with arthritic pain, reduction in blood pressure, mind/body integration, and increase in endorphins. Tai Chi is a low-impact, slow motion exercise most recognized as a series of silent, fluid movements. Yoga is a series of postures with a deep awareness of alignment and precise actions in the body.

Classes are conducted from and with a chair (no floor work), involving both standing and sitting based on individual need. Joint health is emphasized in both.

Start the new year refreshed and renewed!  Nourish vital energy with slow mindful movements to awaken the ease, freedom, and grace already within us  with a gentle practice of Qi Gong for posture and balance with focus on setting intention for the New Year.  Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese mind-body practice for whole-body healing, that integrates gentle movement, breathing techniques, and focused intention for preventing illness, reducing stress, managing chronic conditions, increasing longevity, and promoting healthy aging. Qi is the life force or vital energy inherent within all things in the universe, and Qi Gong is the cultivation of that life force.
